Works to the second tranche of sites in the Kirklees EHL scheme are now under way. Here we have Site 18 Burgh Mill Gardens in Dewsbury. Hopefully, over approximately 35 weeks, this piece of land will be transformed into a new block of eight, 2 bedroom 4 person flats.
The whole area is stripped of its topsoil and reduce level dug to the correct formation levels.
Once the site is at the correct levels, first port of call is to construct the retaining wall with the trench being excavated for the reinforced concrete foundations.
With the trench dug and compacted, mesh reinforcement is laid to bottom of the excavation with concrete then poured until the correct thickness and level is achieved.
